We have seen some beautiful countryside.
Down by the seaside. A little beach on our way to the next town. Nice benches and Ken wanted to get in the hammock but it was occupied. He would have fallen asleep.
Standing in the rocks at another stop - the sea was on our right all the way on todays ride.
This was our buffet lunch from a Fishermans Wharf as we would call it. To the far left was Mackerl and then Fresh Tuna. Cheese with fig jam in the round plate. Tomatoes both sliced cut up with olive oil, basil and a little balsamic vinegar. Proscutto and salami. And of course wine, yes at lunch. This is Sicily. This was in the town of Marzamemi.
Another old church. It is hard to believe sometimes that there were that many people needing that many churches. This is also in Marzamemi, where we stopped for lunch.
This was near our hotel for Monday and Tuesday night. It is gathering sounds from outer space to see what kind of activity might be out there. This is near Noto.
Church (one of many) in Noto where we went in the evening to find our dinner on our own and tour the town. The ceiling of this church was incredible.
Across from the church is the Municipal building of Noto.
Our dinner. Dinner always comes in three courses - an appetizer (usually enough for an entire dinner), Second course and third course. This was Ken's Shrimp.
This is a ruins called Noto Artica - it was destroyed in the 1693 earthquake. Some was restored but not much. We walked these grounds for a bit.
Some of the stones that were carved as decorations in this castle.
Ken and St. Claire pretending to be the missing pillars.
More later, Time to re-pack for our transfer tomorrow to Siricusa where we will also meet up with Matt, Caro and Lucas
